Riverside EcoLuxury Camp in the Heart of Maasai Mara
Overview
Set along the Talek River just outside the Maasai Mara National Reserve, Basecamp Masai Mara offers 17 river-view tents—including two family tents—nestled under thatched roofs and built on wooden platforms. Each tent features en-suite bio-flush toilets, solar-heated indoor and outdoor showers, private decks, and in-room Wi-Fi. Guests enjoy the communal lounge and dining areas, which offer stunning river vistas, guided game drives that cross the river into the reserve, hot-air balloon rides, and cultural experiences with the local Maasai communities. Sustainability initiatives include solar power, rainwater harvesting, eco-toiletries, local sourcing, tree planting, and a Maasai beading cooperative. Africa Travel Designers includes it in its bespoke safari among camps in Maasai Mara.
