PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THIS WEBSITE. By accessing or using this website (the "Site"), you ("User" or "Client") agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions, which constitute a legal agreement between you and the Select Voyages Group. These terms also govern using all content, features, and services available through the Site. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms and Conditions, please refrain from using this website.
All users of this Site agree that access to and use of the Site are subject to these Terms and Conditions and any applicable laws and regulations. Africa Travel Designers reserves the right to modify, update, or revise these Terms and Conditions at any time, and such changes will be effective immediately upon posting. You are responsible for reviewing these Terms regularly to ensure you are aware of any updates.
Country of Domicile & Governing Law
The website is operated by Africa Travel Designers, which is part of the Select Voyages Group. The United Arab Emirates (U.A.E.) is our country of domicile. By using this Site, you agree that all disputes and legal matters related to these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the local laws of the U.A.E., without regard to its conflict of laws principles. You further agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the U.A.E.
Multi-Currency Priced Transactions
The prices on the website are shown in the currency you select at the time of purchase. The same amount will be charged to your payment card and reflected on the transaction receipt. Please note that the currency chosen will determine the payment amount at the time of the transaction.
Payment Methods
Africa Travel Designers accepts payments for its products and services using Visa or MasterCard debit and credit cards. Transactions can be made in either USD or AED (United Arab Emirates Dirham), depending on your currency selection at checkout. Payments must be made in the quoted currency via electronic or telegraphic bank transfer. Clients are responsible for all bank charges. Credit card payments incur a 3% administration fee on the total amount.
OFAC Sanctioned Countries
Africa Travel Designers complies with the regulations of the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the U.S. Department of the Treasury. We do not provide services or products or engage in transactions with individuals, groups, or companies that are from, or owned or controlled by, OFAC-sanctioned countries. We also do not offer services to any individuals or entities that are designated as terrorists, narcotics traffickers, or otherwise identified as being subject to U.S. sanctions.
Minors
Users of this website under 18 (Minors) are prohibited from registering as a User or transacting on this website. Africa Travel Designers does not knowingly collect information from individuals under 18 years of age, and we reserve the right to cancel any transactions if we determine that the user is a minor.
Transaction Records & Merchant Policies
The cardholder is responsible for retaining a copy of all transaction records and agreeing to the merchant's policies and rules. Africa Travel Designers recommends keeping a record of your transaction details for future reference, including any confirmation emails or receipts provided by our system.
Account Confidentiality
You, the User, are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information, including your username, password, and any other credentials associated with accessing your account. You agree to notify Africa Travel Designers immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or breach of security. Africa Travel Designers cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this confidentiality obligation.
Payment Terms for Booking
FIT Booking Policy
Peak Season (11 January to 20 December):
- Deposit: 25% non-refundable deposit due within 14 days of booking.
- Final Payment: Full payment due 60 days before arrival.
- Late Bookings: Full payment required immediately for bookings made within 60 days of arrival.
Festive Season (21 December to 10 January):
- Minimum Stay: 2 nights.
- Deposit: 50% non-refundable deposit due within 7 days of booking.
- Final Payment: Full payment due 120 days before arrival.
- Late Bookings: Full payment required immediately for bookings made within 120 days of arrival.
Group Booking Policy
Peak Season (11 January to 20 December):
- Deposit: 50% deposit due within 14 days of booking.
- Final Payment: Full payment due 90 days before arrival.
- Late Bookings: Full payment required immediately for bookings made within 90 days of arrival.
Festive Season (21 December to 10 January):
- Minimum Stay: 2 nights.
- Deposit: 50% non-refundable deposit due within 7 days of booking.
- Final Payment: Full payment due 120 days before arrival.
- Late Bookings: Full payment required immediately for bookings made within 120 days of arrival.
Some bookings may require additional upfront payments (e.g., for international flights or permits) and you will be informed of any extra deposit requirements. Failure to make timely payments may result in cancellation, and your deposit will be retained.
Cancellation Policy & Refund
You or any member of your party may cancel your trip at any time by sending written notice to info@africatraveldesigners.com. Please ensure we acknowledge the email. As we incur costs in processing cancellations, the following cancellation charges apply:
More than 120 days before arrival:
50% deposit refunded, minus bank charges.
119 to 60 days before arrival:
50% deposit forfeited.
59 days to arrival day:
90% of the full invoice charged as a cancellation fee.
Cancellations must be submitted in writing and take effect upon receipt of written notification by Africa Travel Designers. Refunds will only be processed through the original payment method.
Note:
- Some camps impose higher cancellation fees during peak periods (e.g., Christmas). If these apply, we will inform you of the increased charges at the time of quoting and before your deposit is paid. You are liable for these higher cancellation charges once your deposit is paid and your Confirmation Invoice is issued.
- If you have paid upfront for gorilla permits or international flights, these costs are non-refundable and will be retained in addition to the cancellation charges above.
- If your travel insurance covers your cancellation, you can reclaim the charges. We can provide a cancellation invoice to support your claim.
Company Cancellation Policy:
If We Cancel Your Booking
We reserve the right to cancel all or part of your booking due to unforeseeable circumstances. We will not cancel your booking less than 90 days before your departure date, except in unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances or failure to pay the final balance.
Unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances include situations beyond our control that could not have been avoided even with all reasonable measures. These circumstances may include, but are not limited to, war, threat of war, riot, civil strife, industrial disputes, terrorist activities, epidemics, or pandemics, natural or nuclear disasters, fires, adverse weather conditions, or unavoidable technical problems with transport.
If we need to cancel your booking, we will notify you promptly and offer a suitable alternative, if possible, or refund any payments made, excluding non-refundable deposits.
Medical Conditions, Disabilities & Other Special Requests
We welcome customers with special needs and encourage you to contact us before booking, providing specific details so that we can advise on the suitability of your plans. Unfortunately, not every destination may be suitable, and we reserve the right to refuse a booking if we feel your needs cannot be adequately met. If we are not informed in advance, we reserve the right to cancel your booking once we know the situation.
We are happy to forward special requests, such as food intolerances or dietary preferences, to the relevant suppliers. However, please note that these are requests, not guarantees.
Excursions
Any excursions or tours you choose to book or pay for while in Africa are not part of the services we provide. For these activities, your contract will be with the operator of the excursion or tour, not with us. We are not responsible for the provision of these excursions or tours or for any events that may occur during their operation.
Documentation
Please carefully review all documentation you receive and notify us immediately if you notice any errors. Please do so to avoid additional costs if changes need to be made later, especially regarding flight tickets.
Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for passport, visa, and other immigration requirements. Verify these with the relevant embassies or consulates; we cannot be held liable if you cannot travel due to unmet requirements. Ensure your vaccinations are current and consult your doctor regarding recommended inoculations.
Arrive on time for all flights and pre-booked activities. We do not offer refunds or credits for missed components or lost travel documents.
Travel to Africa involves certain risks, especially with wildlife and health-related concerns. By booking, you accept these risks. Feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions.
Intellectual Property
All content on selectvoyages.com, including text, graphics, and code, is protected under U.A.E. and international copyright laws. Use of materials is restricted to personal, non-commercial purposes related to purchasing from selectvoyages.com. All trademarks, service marks, and trade names are owned by selectvoyages.com. Any unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or display of content is prohibited.
Site Use Terms
africatraveldesigners.com and its materials are provided "as is" without warranties. The Site disclaims all implied warranties, including those for merchantability and fitness for a specific purpose, and is not liable for special or consequential damages arising from its products/services. In the event of pricing errors, selectvoyages.com may cancel orders and issue refunds for discrepancies.

Guarantees
africatraveldesigners.com offers a 30-day refund guarantee. A full refund will be issued if a refund is requested within 30 days of purchase. Refund requests made after 30 days will not be eligible.
Payment Confirmation
Guests will receive an email confirming payment status for online bookings, whether successful or failed. If no confirmation email is received due to technical issues, guests should contact Africa Travel Designers at info@africatraveldesigners.com.
The guest is responsible for verifying booking status through booking history or Customer Service. Africa Travel Designers is not liable for any losses if a guest assumes an order was not placed due to lack of confirmation.
Legal & Governing Law
Use of this Site is governed by U.A.E. law, excluding choice of law provisions and the 1980 U.N. Convention on International Goods contracts. Jurisdiction for any legal matter related to this Site is exclusively with U.A.E. courts. Claims must be initiated within one year of arising. africatraveldesigners.com's rights under these terms may be assigned at any time without notice. Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver.
Site Conduct
